Reception Project
Our school is also involved in a European wide project called RECEPTION. This project is a three year programme of research and development in early education specifically looking at the transition from pre-school to school for young children. It has been undertaken by six partner countries integrating primary and pre-school education in Ireland, Denmark, Croatia, Iceland, Greece and Norway.
Our school is one of the lead schools in this project. Mrs Kavanagh and Ms Murphy are leading the project in our school and we are very grateful to them for their hard work on this.
As part of this Europe wide project, teachers from schools from the other participating countries visited our school earlier this year and three members of our staff travelled to Iceland as part of the project. Here are some photos from their visit.
